Universityyyy

Wow, it’s been long. A lot has came and passed. School is done, I have my diploma in hand, prom and graduation is done also :) That feels good, you know, losing the link to high school.. yep. Parties are coming, which also is great.

So, I made a decision in May to apply to Concordia University in Montreal and try going there instead of Ottawa. The distance was stressing me out a bit :S So I applied to Concordia and got accepted in a Bachelor of Arts: Major in Translation (English to French) and Minor in Spanish Translation. This is going to be great :)

So I started to choose my classes and it looks like a lot of fun for me, here they are:

1st session:
1. French class: Web writing
2. French class: Popular Litterature
3. Spanish class: Need to decide which one
4. English class: Need to decide which one
5. Random class: I will probably take Web Designing or something.

2nd session:
1. French class: Advanced French Grammar
2. French class: Imaginaries, myths and symbols
3. Spanish class: Need to decide which one
4. Spanish or English class: Need to decide which one
5. Random class: Need to decide which one

I love it. Now I have to make a schedule or something. I also started my new job this week, it’s quite fun and I’m designing some kind of website so it’s cool.

I’m done,

Change isn’t always a bad thing. I’ve experienced it in several bad and good ways lately, notably through losing a best friend and through some choices I made lately.

I had a friend who meant the world to me and to whom I could relate in all occasions. Until something bad happened to her and where I got blamed for being the major base to all her problems and she told me I didn’t care for her and the only person I cared for was myself. See, that’s the thing that ended up our relationship because everybody that knows me closely can say that I lived the past year only for that person and in order for our relationship to work in all the possible ways. This feud didn’t only make me lose a roommate for next year, it made me lose the thing I worked hard on for the last 6 months or so. You just can’t know how frustrating it is when you get blamed for things like that.

The good side of all that story is that next year, I will live with somebody I don’t know. Which will help me socialize more with new people in Ottawa so I think that will be a definite plus compared to what it would have been living with her. Because, you know, she has several problems she needs to fix before she can even move to Ottawa. I didn’t really feel that she would’ve been a burden for me but now that this happened, I feel the whole situation could’ve happened in Ottawa and then she would’ve dumped me just like that. And like usual with her, everything would’ve been my fault.

So that’s why I’m saying change comes with it’s good sides. Everytime something bad happens to you, you will be able to get something good out of it.

Felt good to get that story out of me a little.

Oh-Nine In Your Face!!

Since the New Year just passed by, I thought it would be great to start a blog.

Now that we’ve passed three days in 2009, I feel like I should make some kind of review both to remind myself of how much a great year it was and to remind myself of the disappointments I had.

My goal this year was to make both my real life and online life amazing. I made tons of new friends that I can’t live without anymore and I met a lot of people that just changed my life and the way I thought about life in general. Being a pessimist, I had a hard time socializing with people around me. I’m glad to say I changed that and that I now have plenty of people to whom I can refer as friends and that will be there for me through hard times. I’d name a few real-life people but I doubt they’ll ever read this so, instead, I’ll name the online people that had a real impact on my life. All three of us together, we form what you know (or don’t) as Team Fishing or Team International Santa <3

1. Weepit: She must’ve been expecting this because she’s amazing and she’s one of my greatest online friend. When I first met her, I thought she was pretty scary with all of her questions but we’ve grown to know each other very intimately and she’s an amazing person. She has such a great sense of humour and when I feel like being mean and stuff she’s there to listen to me, even if she disagrees with my thoughts :P She’s only been a staffer for a few months and I can say that she’s one of the only that I really bonded with in the staff. So thanks for the awesome moments Weepit <3

2. Dandy: Dan is an awesome guy, and I don’t think he truly knows that. The first time I really talked to him was when me and Weepit tried to make him join Team Fishing and he was so shy. Then we raped him and everything was better, he now is a buddy to whom I can relate at times of need (hahaha :P ). He’s also (slowly) making the graphics for a website idea I had, which is great. Thanks for the hotsome moments Dan :P <3

It also was a year full of parties and alcohol…and sickness :P The spring was boring because of school but then the summer came, I got a new job, met new friends and spent more time with people I can’t live without now. It started out with a party where I ended up spending the night at the hospital for taking too much alcohol :P Then it got better with drinking every weekend and making cute little songs.

Christmas was awesome this year, I had tons of fun with families and my brother was here for the first time in 3 Christmases. We also had a great time during New Year, clubbing a bit with friends and drinking for the year that had passed.

As for the music, well my liking totally changed during the summer. It went from cute-lyrics/emo to techno music that I can dance to. I decided to make the top 5 of the music that played the most on my iPod this year.

5. Just Dance – Lady Gaga: This song pretty much explains what I’ve been doing all summer, dancing. Well I only dance when I’m drunk so you see. It’s a great song to dance to and Lady Gaga is amazing <3

4. Womanizer – Britney Spears: Superstar, where you from how’s it going? Haha. Amazing song and nice comeback Britney :D We like you more when you have hair and aren’t that fat! You can play brand new to all the other chicks out here but I know what you, what you are baby :P

3. You Found Me – The Fray: This song is amazing. It announces two great things: 1) The Fray’s upcoming album, The Fray, on February 3rd. 2) The Season 5 of Lost!!!

2. I Kissed A Girl – Katy Perry: Well, that’s just the song of the year for most people. Though now we’re bored of it and don’t want to hear it we can say that it made our summers pretty fun and intense and full of girls kissing (oh how i wish).

1. This Time – DJ Antoine: That’s just the best song to dance to. It’s been playing EVERY single day of the summer on my iPod and I still can’t stop listening to it :P

This year, I had tons of great times with online people and real life people and I’m really grateful for it. I’d like to thank everybody that participated in making that year so great for me.

Now that 2009’s started, I can’t keep myself from thinking of everything that will happen. Me moving to Ottawa for University, moving away from my friends and in with some others, leaving my family probably forever (as in not coming to live here anymore), graduating :O, being legal in Quebec, and other amazing and scary stuff like that.

I shall now leave you with some 2008 pictures of my real life. :) Thanks for reading all the way through ;)
